Dr. Aaron Mohs, PhD

AAPS Advisor

Dr. Aaron Mohs is an associate professor of pharmaceutical sciences and a member of the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He currently serves as the director of the pharmaceutical sciences graduate program. Dr. Mohs’ research group focuses primarily on the synthesis and development contrast agents for image-guided surgery and developing label-free biosensing probes for pathogen detection. Dr. Mohs received his BA in Chemistry from St. John’s University/College of St. Benedict (MN), PhD in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and was a Center for Cancer Nanotechnology Excellence Distinguished Fellow at Emory University. He then spent nearly four years as an assistant professor of biomedical engineering at Wake Forest University prior to joining UNMC.
